John has been a global chief architect at JP Morgan, BNP Paribas and was the original architect behind Visa Checkout. John has co-founded four successful startups since 2000, selling one of them twice to US and UK listed companies, his new company Velo is relatively stealth but already in production with over 50 staff in under a year. John has co-authored several Java books and is a frequent speaker at technical and banking conferences around the world. He is married to a French wife and has three boys (15, 17 & 19) who all love travelling (as long as there’s internet).
